Energy Efficiency Awareness PDF Print E-mail

The Energy Institute of Uganda has dully participated in the Energy Efficiency Week which are organized annually since 2006. The Energy Efficiency weeks are organized by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral development for all stakeholders.  

Owing to the increasing energy demand, load shedding and increased deforestation these programmes are  a timely action taken to wards encouraging the general public to reduce the energy demand through efficient use of energy. It targets energy consumer’s mainly domestic households and industrialists.  

The main activities include an exhibition at the constitutional square running for the whole week; they  attract exhibitors including Government agencies, NGOs and companies involved in selling energy efficient appliances and other alternative power sources like Solar, LPG, and Biomass. 

The Institute gives  out brochures with efficicent energy measures information , and energy insight magazines covering articles on energy efficiency and demand side management and text books.
