The Energy Institute of Uganda will open the School of Energy Studies designed to provide hands on programmes for its students, in August 2010.

The School will offer both certificate and Diploma courses on Energy Management and Management in Petroleum Industry and Economics, run on Semester basis with Day and Evening programmes.

The minimum requirements for admissions is A’Level or its equivalent for Diploma courses and O’Level or its equivalent for Certificate courses. The Diploma programmes will be for one academic year, while Certificate programmes is six months.

 Admission /application forms can be accessed from the Institute’s website (www.energyinstug.org) or at EIU Office at  Kisozi House Complex, 3^rd Floor, Room 4, at a fee of Ug. Shs.25,000.

The fees structure will be  as follows:

·         Tuition fee-Ug.Shs.750,000 per semester

·         Examination fee-Ug.Shs.45,000 per semester

·         Student I.D-Ug. Shs.5000

Upon completion of studies, graduates of the school will be able to gain employment in power utilities, renewable energy manufacturing and installation companies, Government departments, energy efficiency and environmental consultancies, manufacturing and energy companies as well as university and private industry research organizations.
